Schunk is also on board aeroplanes - in the engines, to be precise. The secret to the success of our engine components lies in a highly heat-resistant material that is moulded using metal injection moulding (MIM). This process enables a reduction in component weight, high reproducibility with constant dimensional behaviour and, as a result, a reduction in manufacturing costs. Our components for engines also impress with their extended service life and increased performance.
